About Our Free Invoice Tool

HeyInvoices is a free tool for freelancers and small businesses who need to make a clear, correct invoice quickly. You fill in a form, check the preview and download a PDF. There is no signup and no watermark.

What we care about

• Correct numbers. Totals, discounts and tax are worked out with exact arithmetic, not with approximate decimals, and the printed lines always add up to the total.
• Privacy by design. The invoice is made in your browser. We do not receive what you type. See the privacy policy for the details.
• Plain language. Our guides explain invoices without jargon, and say where the rules differ by country.
• Honesty about limits. We are not accountants or lawyers. The tool does not know your country's rules, and nothing here is tax or legal advice.

How we write the guides

Each guide lists the official sources its facts come from, such as tax authority pages, and shows the date the facts were last checked. Where we could not confirm a detail from an official source, we say so instead of guessing. If you find something that is wrong or out of date, please tell us through the contact page and we will check it and correct it.

How the site is paid for

The tool is free to use. The site may in future be supported by advertising or by voluntary tips from people who find it useful. If that happens, the privacy policy will be updated before it begins, and ads will never change the figures on your invoice.
