Privacy policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what happens to information when you use HeyInvoices. We have kept it short because there is little to tell: the invoice you make is created on your own device.
Who runs this site
HeyInvoices is run by Ali R., an individual based in Pakistan. For anything in this policy, contact us at the address at the end of this page.
Your invoices
Everything you type into the invoice form, and the PDF you download, is processed in your browser. It is not sent to us and we do not store it. When you press Download, your browser loads the PDF-building code from this website and creates the file on your device.
What is saved on your device
Only if you tick “Remember my details on this device”, the tool saves your business details, currency, tax setting, paper size and last invoice number in your browser’s local storage, under the name invoice-generator:saved. It never saves your client’s details, your items or any amounts. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time with the “Clear saved details” button, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
At the time of writing this site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and shows no advertising, and it loads nothing from other websites. If that changes, for example if we add advertising or visitor statistics, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before anything that is not essential is used.
Server logs
Our pages are delivered by Cloudflare, which acts on our behalf. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare may keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address, the page requested and the time, to keep the service running and secure. We do not collect or keep our own copies of these logs, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors; how long Cloudflare keeps them is up to Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes data in many countries, including the United States. Its published data processing terms provide for standard contractual clauses (with the UK addendum for UK data) and refer to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework to protect data that is transferred internationally.
If you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. Our mail is forwarded through Cloudflare, and we read it in an ordinary email inbox provided by our email provider, which may also process data outside your country. We use your message only to reply to you and to improve the site. We keep emails for up to 12 months after the last message in the conversation, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time. Email is not a secure way to send sensitive information. Please do not send us private invoice data, bank details, passwords or identity documents. If you send such information anyway, you do so at your own risk, to the extent the law allows, and we may delete it without replying.
Why we may use your information
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law requires us to name the reason for using personal data. We use technical logs because it is necessary to run and secure the site, which is our legitimate interest. We use emails you send us because you ask us a question and we have a legitimate interest in answering it. Where we rely on your consent, for example if we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask first and you can withdraw it at any time.
Your rights
Because we do not collect the content of your invoices or an account from you, we hold very little about you. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or elsewhere with data protection rights, you may ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is intended for people running a business or freelance work and is not aimed at children.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes here and update the date at the top. Material changes, such as adding advertising, will be made before they take effect.
